‘The 1820s: Innovation and Diffusion’ is now just a couple of weeks away. Registration is available through Eventbrite until April 4th, and the programme is being updated on this site. We had a really great response to the Call for Papers, and are expecting around fifty speakers in Glasgow on April 11th and 12th to discuss a plethora of interesting social and cultural developments.

The evening before the conference (Wednesday April 10th), we’ll be hosting a free public event in Edinburgh in partnership with the National Library of Scotland called ‘The 1820s: a defining decade in British history and literature’. This will explore a number of important writers and developments using examples from the NLS collections. You can sign up to attend via the library’s Eventbrite page.
